Madrúa are a queer Belfast-based post-punk band. Their music incorporates ethereal analogue synths and abrasive, angular guitar intertwined with Irish trad instruments. Inspired by bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joy Division and Black Midi, Madrúa bring together dissociated baritone vocals over sepulchral basslines, creating a haunting atmosphere reminiscent of decades of the past. Headlining with support from Novena and The Red Hot n Dizzy to celebrate the launch of their latest single ‘Metamorphosis’ at The Deer’s Head for Late Night art 😀
